Studying Whipping Instabilities in Electrolyte Jets
This project focuses on understanding the origin and propagation of whipping instabilities observed experimentally in electrolyte jets...
I have been developing numerical methods in for multiphase computational fluid dynamics for simulating electrically assisted sprays with a goal to study and understand the underlying physics of electrohydrodynamics. One of my projects involves modeling primary atomization in a paint applicator called the rotary bell atomizer. Another project focuses on understanding the origin and propagation of whipping instabilities observed experimentally in electrolyte jets. Click on the posts below to learn more about them.
